A Bomber's job varies, ranging from blast mining to working in nuclear reactors, and sometimes when needed, sent into the battlefield for combat or special operations.

The Outfit
The Bomber outfit is entirely fire-proof and flexible, it consists of:
- A protective helmet that also functions as a gas mask.
- A hooded puffy jacket and pants, both of which are fire-proof.
- Gloves with a special textured material on the digits that can be used to scratch onto surfaces to ignite or spark objects.
The Bomber outfit is not as familiar in design to the usual Jumpsuit that often times the usual military units wear, to account for the risk of being exposed to fire, explosions, vaporization, or mishandling of sensitive materials.
Outfit details
The Explosive Technician's outfit, has a unique Orange & Ash color combo to easily tell them apart from other professions. The protective helmet doubles as a gas filter in case of fire, debris, or dust in the air for when the working conditions are severe. The puffed jacket and legwear both are made of a fire-proof fabric that allows flexible movement and general fire safety. The specialized gloves have textured digits with a material that allows for scratching to spark, ignite, or even burn certain objects, which allows for easy use of fuse operated explosives on the spot for demolition.
Unique Badge Design
As aforementioned, the Bomber's outfit consists of an Orange & Ash color scheme. Alongside that, a unique Job Category seal is burned onto the jacket, with a similar color theme to the rest of the outfit. A Bomber's Profession Badge is made of four bright orange triangles pointed inward to the center, with with a flashy red background and a white outline, similar to a danger sign.
Purpose
Bombers work for many harsh expeditons and missions, no matter their assigned task it is often a fire hazard, explosive hazard, or in some cases a radioactive hazard. Bombers are also Heavy-Carriers, and some of them may-be assigned to carry a special gadget that absorbs and materializes an item so they can carry it and re-atomize it at will, regardless of its weight.
Their workspace/mineral handling includes but is not limited to:
- Radioactive minerals
- Explosive minerals
- Nuclear powerplants
- Anything that might include explosives
Bombers often use explosives for mining or for combat.

As shown in the previous image is 3 throwable explosives, such as a simple incendiary stick of dynamite, an Impulse Grenade, and a Laser Grenade. Dynamite works as you might expect of course, but the other two grenades are marvels of alien technology.
The Impulse Grenade works akin to a frag grenade by fragmenting its pieces upon detonation, but with the added bonus of having a high-kinetic-energy explosion. Impulse Grenades are often used for blasting surfaces away and aren't common use. The Laser Grenade upon detonation does not immediately explode, but fires a volley of lasers that can burn, melt, or phase through surfaces. After the lasers are exhausted, the Laser Grenade detonates itself.
Aside from handling throwable explosives, Bombers also occupy vechicles and other weapons with explosive capabilites, such as a mounted rail gun. (insert artwork?)
Recruiting Process
Some may not be worthy of being a Bomber, as it requires a wide skillset, endurance, responsibility, and quick problem solving in case of disaster.
New Bombers are recruited through various test procedures to ensure optimal and quick recruitment. The procedures check for minimal requirements (hostility, commitment, conformity, complaceny to any risk of fire exposure) to attain acceptable initiates.
If unable, some Bombers may be rejected all together, and perhaps may find a better occupation to a great asset to.
Not every Doomlien gets to be a Bomber.
For some that strive to be a Bomber, they may get consolidated into working as Scouts, General Officers, or other active occupations that go around.
Glory to the Empire.
